Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani received on Tuesday, a delegation from the people of Diyala Governorate. The delegation included several public figures and tribal sheikhs.
The Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “The delegation members talked about the living conditions and the public services reality in Diyala Governorate, the major challenges facing stability, the progress in providing public services, and meeting the needs of citizens.”
Al-Sudani emphasized the imperative of enforcing the law and that no "redlines" would stop the state's responsibilities, duties, and the rule of law, the statement continued.
“Al-Sudani reaffirmed the commitment to investigate the atrocious crime of the murder of Dr. Ahmed Talal Al-Madfai in Diyala. He stressed that whoever perpetrated that crime would soon be brought to justice, emphasizing that the government does not tolerate such crimes of shedding Iraqi blood and does not compromise”, the statement added.
The Prime Minister expressed “his confidence in the positive role of tribes and community leaders in consolidating social peace and reconciliation and promoting Iraqis' authentic social values”.
