Military Intelligence captures a terrorist, seizes a stack of explosives in Anbar

The Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Saturday, the arrest of a wanted terrorist in accordance with Article 4 of Anti-Terrorism Law, during a well-planned ambush in Anbar.
 
A statement by the Directorate, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "based on accurate intelligence information of the Divisions (Intelligence and Security) of the Seventh and Tenth Divisions and in cooperation with intelligence and a force from the Eighth Brigade and the Fortieth Brigade and a force from the Seventh Anbar Emergency Regiment, a tight ambush was set up in the checkpoint of Al-Sijr , as it resulted in the arrest of one of the terrorists wanted by the Judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 terrorism in Saqlawiya district,” stressing, “the terrorist was handed over to the requesting authority .”
 
The statement continued, "The Directorate's detachments seized a pile of ammunition and homemade explosives of various shapes containing more than (200) projectiles and missiles in the Zawiya area," pointing out that "the engineering effort detachments removed the materials and destroyed them on site."
