The Federal Investigation and Intelligence Agency-FIIA announced on Thursday, the arrest of five terrorists who participated in killing, displacing and torturing citizens in Salah al-Din Governorate.
“During the various preemptive operations, FIIA was able to arrest five wanted terrorists in accordance with the provisions of Article (4 /Anti- Terrorism Law) for their affiliation with ISIS terrorist gangs, in the so-called Diwan al-Jund(recruitment office) , Diwan al-Hisbah (police office) , and Diwan al-Zakat in Salah al-Din Governorate," FIIA said in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The statement added, "The terrorists carried out several terrorist operations, including killing and displacing citizens, imprisoning and torturing them, confiscating residential homes and stealing their furniture, while one of them participated in setting up fake checkpoints, the other in armoring and booby-trapping vehicles, and the other in stealing weapons at Mosul Airport at the time."
“The statements of the terrorists were duly recorded in, and the necessary legal measures were taken against them,” the statement continued.
