An official ceremony waiting the return of Iraqi antiquities from Britain soon

    The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, revealed a plan to revive literary, artistic and cultural festivals and events, announcing the imminent return of Iraqi antiquities from Britain and the holding of an official celebration.

    Al-Badrani said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We have prepared many plans in the fields of culture, tourism and antiquities, and we will start from the provinces soon to revive literary festivals and the suspended artistic, theatrical and cinematic activities, and we celebrate the pioneers."

    He added, "In the field of tourism, we will conduct field visits to all tourist and archaeological facilities in order to determine their needs for reviving, restoring and rehabilitating them."

    He continued, "As for the antiquities file, we are keen to protect and preserve this heritage, which constitutes the identity of Iraq, and soon we will have a visit to Britain to return Iraqi antiquities there, and an official ceremony will be held on the homeland after their return."
