    The Ministry of Transport revealed a move to purchase more than 400 trucks and tanks from international origins to strengthen the ministry's fleet, while announcing the intention of the German company (MAN) to open a branch in Iraq.

    The media office of the Ministry of Transport said, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the General Company for Land Transport, one of the formations of the Ministry of Transport, recently launched a campaign to strengthen its fleet by submitting a project to the Ministry of Planning to purchase 100 trucks of international origin from the investment budget for the current year, and this issue is being followed up." personally by the Minister.”.

    He added, "In order to find quick solutions and shorten the time, the company's board of directors voted to purchase 30 truck heads from the operating budget, and the company's management submitted a proposal to the technical advisor to the prime minister to purchase 100 tanks and 200 trucks of the type (MAN) from the company's branch, which is expected to be opened in Iraq." .

    He continued, "The Ministry of Transport, through its future plans, which are directly supervised by the Minister, aims to develop all its formations and turn them into profitable companies with the aim of providing the best service to citizens, given that its role is related to the service side, as well as supplying the country's general budget with new resources and diversifying funding sources, which helps economic growth." and raise the standard of living.”
