Al-Araji chairs the periodic meeting of the National Intelligence Coordination Authority

    The National Intelligence Coordination Authority discussed on Wednesday, the proposed draft of the national intelligence strategy for the next four years.

    The media office of the National Security Adviser stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the National Security Adviser, Qassim Al-Araji, chaired on Wednesday, the periodic meeting of the National Intelligence Coordination Authority, in the presence of the members of the authority."

    According to the statement, the meeting discussed "the topics on the agenda, and the necessary decisions and recommendations were taken in this regard, during which the proposed draft of the national intelligence strategy for the next four years was presented and discussed extensively."

    The National Security Adviser directed the importance of coordination and cooperation, and according to the recommendations of the Commander-in-Chief, to pursue terrorists, collect accurate information about them, and target them, to protect society from their criminal plans."

    According to the statement, Al-Araji called on the leaders of the intelligence community to send their final proposals on the proposed draft, in order to present and discuss it with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, for a decision."

    The statement continued, "Al-Araji praised the efforts made by the intelligence leaders in writing the national intelligence strategy, which is proposed and written for the first time after 2003, in accordance with the constitution and the laws in force, taking into account human rights and citizen freedom."
