The Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Monday, the arrest of 24 terrorists and suspects in separate areas of the country.
The Directorate stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "with pre-emptive operations and intelligence efforts of the departments and divisions (intelligence and security) of the Diyala, Baghdad and Maysan Operations Command, and the Sixth, Seventh, Eighth and Tenth Sixteenth and Seventeenth Divisions, and in cooperation with intelligence and a force from the brigades of those commands, the Court ambushes in the provinces (Baghdad, Anbar, Maysan, Diyala, Nineveh and Kirkuk), which resulted in the arrest of (5) terrorists wanted by the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Article (4 terrorism) in the districts of Tarmiyah, Al-Qaim, Al-Ramadi and Tal Abta district.
The Statement added, "(19) accused of various legal articles were also arrested in separate areas of the same governorates," noting that "the wanted persons were handed over to the requesting authorities in accordance with the rules."
