Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari arrived on Monday, in Diyala Governorate, at the head of a high-ranking security delegation.
A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "a high-ranking security delegation headed by Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, arrived in Diyala Governorate," noting that "the delegation included the intelligence agent, the undersecretary for police affairs, and a number of the ministry's leaders."
The statement added, "The visit aims to get acquainted with the work and procedures of the directorates and affiliates of the Ministry of Interior in the governorate and its technical and administrative level, as well as its combat readiness to impose security and stability in the governorate."
