The Popular Mobilization Forces PMF announced on Wednesday, implementing a raid and search operation in Tarmiya district in search of Daesh terrorist remnants and their dens.
The commander of the brigade Ali Al-Saiedi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "a force from the 12th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces carried out a raid and search operation in Tarmiya district, north of Baghdad, in search of Daesh remnants and their dens."
"The force, accompanied by the engineering of the brigade and the supporting forces, surveyed areas in the west of the district," Al-Saiedi said.
"The operation aims to sustain the security in the region and prevent the exploitation of Daesh militants for any part of the district," he said.
