Iraq is participating in two plays in the thirteenth edition of the Arab Theater Festival, which is being held in the Moroccan city of Casablanca.
One of the plays was written and directed by Ali Abdul Nabi Al-Zaidi, and the second was written and directed by Jawad Al-Asadi.
Al-Zaidi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the Iraqi theater has a clear Arab and international active presence," noting that "this is reflected in the advanced awards won by Iraqi playwrights."
"The two theatrical performances are competing strongly for the festival's prizes, out of 16 performances in the official competition," he said.
