The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, ordered on Saturday, to award the players of our national team.
The Media Office of the President of the Republic, said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that, "The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, met with the players of our national football team and the training and administrative staff, and congratulated them on their well-deserved victory and their qualification for the semi-final and taking the first place in the group within the Gulf Cup Championship in its twenty-fifth edition."
The statement added, “President Rashid ordered to award the members of our team in appreciation of their efforts and their wonderful performance, and for their victory, which drew joy on the faces of the Iraqis."
The President of the Republic urged the players to "exert more effort to achieve the good results that the Iraqis are waiting for, which would enhance Iraq's position in the sport at the global level."
In turn, the players of our national football team, coaching staff, and administrative staff expressed their "thanks and appreciation to the president for this generous initiative, which reflects his interest in the national team and sports in general, affirming their keenness to achieve the best results and raise Iraq's name in the international forums."
