Maysan Operations Command announced the arrest of 15 people who fired bullets on New Year's Eve in Maysan.
A statement of the Command, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "According to the directives of the Maysan Operations Commander, Major General Muhammad Jassem Al-Zubaidi, a force of security units from the Ninety-seventh Infantry Brigade of the Operations Command arrested 15 people who fired bullets at the New Year's celebration."
It added that "legal measures were taken against them, they were referred to the competent authorities, and the weapons in their possession were confiscated."
