The police command in Babil Governorate announced today, Tuesday, the arrest of three wanted persons, including an accused of terrorism.
Babil Police Command stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the exceptional efforts made by the Martyr Colonel Khalil Shalal's control detachments in the inspection procedures and checking the names of people in the security computers in the north of the province resulted in the arrest of a wanted person on charges of terrorism, according to Article (4/1) of the Anti-Terrorism Law.
The statement added, "The detachments of the Martyr Lieutenant Colonel Ihsan's checkpoints, and Hilla-Najaf, arrested two of the wanted persons according to different legal materials," noting that " necessary measures were taken against all the accused in preparation for handing them over to the requesting authorities in accordance with the legal contexts."
