Al-Sudani chairs a security meeting in the Basra Operations command

    Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, directed on Sunday, the security services to provide a safe environment for the success of 25th Arabian Gulf Cup .

    The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "This afternoon, Sunday, Al-Sudani chaired a security meeting in the Basra Operations Command, which included security and military leaders and officials in the province."


    The statement  added, "Al-Sudani reviewed a security briefing that reviewed the progress of efforts to secure the province in its districts and sub-districts, and followed the course of proactive security and intelligence work to combat organized crime and terrorism, as well as drug crimes, and stressed the importance of not being lenient in keeping this file under all circumstances."


    He continued, "The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces ordered the conversion of the land allocated to the Basra Operations Command into a residential city, whose lands will be distributed to employees of the Ministry of Defense from the people of the province."

    Al-Sudani directed the security services of all kinds, to discuss the pace and speed up the pace of the ongoing security preparations for the governorate to host the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup on the sixth of next January, and to provide a safe environment that guarantees the success of the championship.
