The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, affirmed today, Friday, the readiness to develop relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, especially in the field of economy and investment.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: "The Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, met this evening, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Muhammad bin Salman, on the sidelines of the Arab-Chinese Summit for Cooperation." and development in Riyadh.
During the meeting, according to the statement, they discussed mechanisms for activating the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council, and implementing agreements and understandings between the two sides.
Al-Sudani stressed "the importance of the Arab-Chinese summit in achieving economic integration in a way that serves the interests of the peoples of the region," and expressed readiness to develop bilateral relations, especially in the field of economy and investment.
For his part, the Saudi Crown Prince affirmed the Kingdom's desire to perpetuate relations with Iraq, towards more mutual cooperation in various fields.
