Minister of interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari confirmed on Tuesday m that the government program attaches great importance on the cooperation with all the international partners.
"Minister of interior received in his office the representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission - EUAM in Iraq, as they numbers of main mutual topics ", the ministry of interior-MOI said in a statement ,received by the Iraqi news agency –INA.
Al-Shammari stressed during the meeting the importance of improving the horizons of security cooperation, strengthening relations between Iraq and its partners at the security level, and the continues efforts to develop security policies and keep pace with regional and international changes to achieve security preemption in facing all challenges targeting society, foremost of which is the threat of terrorism and extremist ideas, as well combating organized crime.
The statement continued, "The government program of the Republic of Iraq attaches great importance on cooperation with all international partners, by strengthening relations according to the principle of mutual respect and common interests."
Both sides discussed continuing the training and holding workshops in various security fields, including those related to stadium security police, in conjunction with the imminent start of the 25th Gulf Championship in Basra province.
For its part, the delegation extended its thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Interior for his great interest in supporting security and stability and developing relations with representatives of EUAM.
