Prime Minister Mohamed Shia’a Al-Sudani and Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren discussed, today, Monday, bilateral relations and security cooperation.
The media office of the Prime Minister said, in a statement that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani received this morning the Dutch Minister of Defense, Kajsa Ollongren and her accompanying delegation," noting that "during the meeting, bilateral relations between Iraq and Netherlands, and security cooperation within the framework of the Netherlands' participation in the international coalition to combat terrorism were reviewed.
"The two sides discussed means to enhance joint coordination with the Netherlands and NATO countries and the European Union, within the field of providing consultation and training to the Iraqi security forces, and raising their capabilities to pursue the remnants of the terrorist ISIS." According to the statement.
"The meeting also witnessed a discussion of the most important possible means to benefit Iraq from the Dutch experience in the field of water and to face the challenges of climate change and drought, and its economic and environmental effects."
