The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shayaa Al-Sudani, directed the sale of locally manufactured cars to the engineering effort team.

The Minister of Industry, Khaled Batal Al-Najm, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "One of the reasons for the visit to the General Company for the Manufacturing and Assembly of Cars is to stand on the ground on these challenges facing the company, which go back more than 11 years.".

Al-Najm added, "This company produces cars, and there are solutions, according to what the Prime Minister directed, to sell cars to the engineering effort team, and in the event that they are not sold completely, there are solutions to market them through prices, effort, and some technical details.".

He continued, "These cars have an estimated total price of 60 billion dinars, but unfortunately they are parked, while the company is in dire need of liquidity to add production lines or operating expenses.".

Earlier today, the Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, directed an increase in the production of saloon cars.
