Al-Sudani directs security leaders to commit to humanitarian dealings with all citizens

    Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani issued directives to security leaders, while stressing the importance of law enforcement and restoring the status of the state.
    The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement, that "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani visited the headquarters of the Joint Operations Command in the capital, Baghdad, today, Sunday, and chaired a security meeting of military leaders."
    "Al-Sudani listened to an extensive view on the progress of the security and military plans implemented by the heroic Iraqi forces, in the various sectors of operations, and the challenges they face." The statement added.
    Al-Sudani praised the professionalism of the security forces of all kinds, and their efforts in fighting the remnants of ISIS terrorist, and repelling internal threats and dangers, "appreciating the sacrifices of the martyrs and their families, as well as the sacrifices of the wounded heroes who made heroic stances for Iraq.” 
    Prime Minister stressed that "the people are the source of authority, and the Iraqi constitution is clear and explicit in emphasizing the civil, political, cultural and economic rights of the people," explaining that "it is the duty of the state and all its authorities to preserve these rights."
     
    Al-Sudani directed the security leaders to commit to humanitarian dealing with all citizens, and to carrying out extensive field visits to the operations sectors to determine the readiness of the military forces, take care of the fighters and address their problems, and reconsider the checkpoints and the number of protections for the security leaders.
