A joint force of the army and the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) carried out on Wednesday a security duty north of Baghdad.
The Popular Mobilization Forces said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "a force of the army and the Popular Mobilization carried out a security duty to track down a group of Daesh terrorists in the area of Albu Zubbar in the district of Tarmiyah (north of Baghdad)," noting that "four fighters of the Popular Mobilization were injured during the duty of search and inspection by the explosion of an explosive device from the remnants left in the area."
"A force from the 12th Brigade in PMF surrounded the scene of the incident and took the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the joint force continued its search for Daesh remnants," the statement said.
