The head of Hikma National Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, stressed on Wednesday, the need to form a government of national service and to maintain dialogue between the political parties.
The media office of the head of the Hikma Movement stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Sayyed Al-Hakim received in his office the British ambassador in Baghdad, Mark Bryson, and the French ambassador, Eric Chevalier, and he discussed with them the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region, as well as bilateral relations."
Sayyed Al-Hakim stressed, "the development of bilateral relations between Iraq and Britain in all fields to serve interests of all and achieve the sovereignty of Iraq."
The office stated, " Al-Hakim discussed with the French ambassador developments in political affairs in Iraq, mechanisms for completing the constitutional dues and forming a government of national service, and ways to strengthen relations between Iraq and France."
The statement stressed "the importance of investing in the promising opportunities offered by Iraq in reconstruction."
The ambassador emphasized "France's position that respects the will of the Iraqis in choosing their representatives and stands at the same distance from everyone," expressing his admiration for "the Iraqi national unit that was manifested in the fortieth visit of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him)."
