The US President Joe Biden
agreed to declare a major disaster in Florida as a result of Hurricane Ian, and ordered federal aid to state and local recovery efforts.
The hurricane began on September 23, 2022, and is still continuing, while the White House confirmed that the US President's measure provides federal funding for those affected in a number of provinces.
He explained that the aid includes grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.
