Defense Minister inaugurates a new radar system in Diwaniyah

Defense Minister Juma Inad Saadoun inaugurated on Monday, a new radar system in Al-Diwaniyah province.

“Defense Minister Jumaa Inad Saadoun arrived today Monday at the head of a delegation of senior commanders and officers in the ministry to the Diwaniyah province, the second air defense sector,” The ministry stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

The statement added that "the minister inaugurated the second GM403 radar system," noting that "this system was received by the ministry based on the contract concluded with the French company Thales."
