The great Iraqi artist Karim Awad passed away today, Friday, after a long struggle against illness.
Awad was born in 1940. He completed his primary and intermediate studies, then he joined the Institute of Fine Arts and the College of Fine Arts in Baghdad, then obtained a master's degree in Theatre Arts from California State University in 1981, and his brother is also a famous artist Makki Awad.
The late artist participated in many Iraqi drama series and had his distinguish imprint in the multiple roles that he played.
