Popular Mobilization announces the end of the operation to besiege ISIS in Hadhar

The Nineveh Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization announced the end of the operation to besiege the remnants of ISIS in the Hadhar desert. 

The leadership stated in a statement, that "the Nineveh Operations Command announces the end of the operation to besiege the remnants of ISIS criminal gangs, by destroying the remnants of terrorist groups that were besieged by the Popular Mobilization heroes from the 44th Brigade and the supporting forces from the Hashd forces and air force in the depth the great desert extending between the governorates of Nineveh, Salah al-Din and Anbar towards the Syrian border.

Earlier this day, the forces of the 44th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization were able to kill seven of the remnants of the terrorist "ISIS" during clashes with the elements of the terrorist organization in the island of Hadhar. 

The clashes resulted, according to a statement by the Nineveh Operations Command for the Popular Mobilization, in the death of one of the brigade’s fighters and injury of eight others, as two explosive belts exploded while trying to storm a tunnel belonging to the terrorist “ISIS”.
