The Iraqi athletes achieved impressive results in the 13th Arab Kickboxing Championship, currently being held in the Syrian capital, Damascus, as our national team player Abdul Khaleq Sobeih qualified for the final after defeating the Syrian player with the K-1 system, while the player Muhammad Ali lost to the Emirati to win the silver medal.
The player Hussein Nassif achieved the first gold medal for Iraq in the Full contact system, with a weight of 54 kg, after his victory over his Jordanian opponent, while our player Ahmed Sadiq added another gold for Iraq in the Full contact system, with a weight of 51 kg.
The player, Mostafa Karim, won the gold medal for the Full contact system, and Ali Naim won the gold medal for the Full contact system, with a weight of 71 kg.
The player Hussein Sabah won the gold medal after defeating the Syrian by knockout in the weight of 86 (K-1), while the player Youssef Saleh, who weighed 91 kg, was crowned with the gold (K-1) and by knockout.
