Suspected terrorist among 8 arrested in Bagdad, SMC reports

The Security Media Cell-SMC announced the arrest of eight wanted persons, including a suspected terrorist, and a gang that committed a murder in Baghdad.
 
SMC stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "A force from the 6^th Infantry Division was able to arrest a suspect in accordance with Article 4/1 of terrorism after an accurate intelligence information about his whereabouts was received.”
 
The statement added, "A force from the 3^rd  Brigade, 1^st  Division of the Federal Police, was also able to arrest a gang that committed "premeditated murder" crime consisting of two defendants, , affirming that after receiving information that a murder had occurred, a joint working team was immediately formed and after the initial investigation, checking the information and following up on the surveillance cameras, the criminals were identified and arrested in Karrada area in the center of the capital, Baghdad.”
 
In a related issue, SMC continued, "The detachments of the Directorate of Controls Affairs, arrested five defendants according to various legal articles while they were trying to enter the capital through the controls of (Abu Ghraib, New Abu Ghraib, Intisar, Taji, Tigris Beach).
 
SMC confirmed that "The arrestees were handed over to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against them."
