Al-Halbousi and Barbara Leaf stress the importance of overcoming the crisis and finding solutions within the initiatives

Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi and US Assistant Secretary of State for Middle Eastern Affairs Barbara Leaf stressed the importance of overcoming the crisis and finding solutions within initiatives.
The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives stated in a statement, that "Al-Halbousi received the US Assistant Secretary of State for Middle Eastern Affairs Barbara Leaf and her accompanying delegation, and during the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, and developments in political events in Iraq, and the importance of finding solutions within initiatives that are aligned with the stage and its requirements and contribute to overcoming the crisis.”
  "During the meeting, regional and international developments were also discussed, as well as a number of issues of common interest." The statement added.
The statement indicated that " Leaf confirmed her country's continued support for Iraq in accordance with the strategic framework agreement between the two countries, and work to strengthen the partnership between Baghdad and Washington," noting the importance of "strengthening the national dialogue between Iraqi leaders to overcome the crisis that the country is go through."
