Interior Ministry seizes 300 kilograms of drugs and 14 million pills within a year

the General Directorate of Narcotics Control of the Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday,  an official statistic for the number of drug suspects this year, while it indicated that 300 kilograms of narcotic drugs and 14 million pills were seized in 8 months.

The directorate of media, Colonel Bilal Sobhi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Our operations continue to fight and chase drug dealers, as more than 1,350 suspects were arrested during the past month."

He added "The total number during the past eight months has become 11 thousand accused of trade, promotion and abuse, in addition to seizing nearly 300 kilograms of narcotics and more than 14 million Captagon pills and psychotropic substances."
