The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, stressed on Sunday, the importance of adopting dialogue in order to find solutions that can address the magnitude of the challenges.
The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “President of the Republic of Iraq, Barham Salih met with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Iraq, Ms. Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert. The meeting was held at al-Salam Palace in Baghdad.”
Recent developments in political situations related-matters to Iraq were discussed during the meeting.
President Salih and UN Special Representative Plasschaert further discussed means of intensifying efforts to setter the country out of the current political crisis.
Additionally, they went on to say, this should be through finding solutions that can address the challenges and meet the tasks ahead.
The meeting placed emphasis on the need to hold further dialogues between all the parties.
Satisfactory solutions that ensure security and stability in Iraq, and meet the Iraqi people's demands should be found, Participants said.
