Yarallah appreciates France's role in supporting Iraq in fighting Daesh gangs

    The Chief of Staff of the Army, General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah praised on Sunday, the role of France in standing with Iraq in confronting the terrorist gangs of Daesh.
     
    A statement by the Ministry of Defense received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "the chief of staff of the army, General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, received in his office the new French military attaché, and the former military attaché in Iraq."
     
    Yarallah stressed, according to the statement, "the depth of military cooperation that binds the friendly countries Iraq and France," praising at the same time "the great role played by France within the international coalition in standing with Iraq and its people in confronting the terrorist gangs of Daesh by providing logistical support and necessary expertise to the Iraqi military institution."
     
    He wished "the new military attaché success in his duties in Iraq."
     
    On the other hand, the Chief of Staff of the Army thanked the former French military attaché whose duties in Iraq have expired for his efforts in promoting joint cooperation between the two friendly countries, wishing him success in his work and life.
