FIIA captures six terrorists, SMC reports

The Security Media Cell (SMC) announced on Thursday, the arrest of 6 terrorists in several provinces.

SMC stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the high-level intelligence effort has succeeded in reaching a wanted person in accordance with Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law, as evidenced by the confession of one of the accused, as a tight ambush was set up within the Zafaraniya area in Baghdad, and he was arrested ."

SMC continued, "In separate operations carried out by the FIIA members in Kirkuk province, a security operation succeeded in arresting four dangerous terrorists, one of them worked within the so-called (Abu Hamza Al-Muhajir) criminal camp, while a wanted man was arrested, According to Article 4, terrorism in Salah al-Din province.

The statement added, “A force from the FIIA managed to seize a stack containing 12 assorted projectiles and a 23 mm ammunition container, indicating that they had been destroyed by the engineering effort and the terrorists were handed over to the concerned authorities.”
