The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Manhal Al-Khabbaz, arrived on Sunday, in Basra and inaugurated a factory for the production of Dab fertilizer and petrochemicals.
A statement by the Ministry of Industry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Al-Khabbaz arrived at Basra Airport, accompanied by the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Director General of Agricultural Equipment, Talib Al-Kaabi, and the directors of public industrial companies."
The statement explained, "The minister inaugurated the Al-Dab fertilizer plant for the agricultural sector and the petrochemical plant to produce low-density polyethylene granules," noting that "the opening took place in the presence of the British Baroness Emma Nicholson."
