The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Tuesday, the number of injuries and death toll in Iraq for 2021.
According to statistics published by MOH, and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The number of various injuries recorded in Iraq, with the exception of Sulaymaniyah province, reached to (131479) injuries," noting that "the number of non-fatal injuries reached (119,220), while the number of fatal injuries reached (12,259) injuries.”
The statistic indicated that "Males represent more than 79% of non-fatal injuries and 73.4% of fatal injuries," noting that "the group most exposed to fatal and non-fatal injuries is the age group (20-40).
The statement indicated that “Dhi Qar Health Department ranked first place in terms of non-fatal injuries, followed by Diyala and then the capital, Baghdad, while Baghdad Health Department ranked first in terms of fatal injuries, then Babil, Kirkuk and Karbala."
