The Security Media Cell (SMC) announced on Tuesday, the launch of the fourth phase of Operation Solid Will.
"During joint military Ops, carried out according to accurate intelligence information, the fourth phase of Operation Solid Will was launched today, Tuesday, to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs in Qara Chokh Mountains," SMC said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The statement added, "The operation, which was launched, involved units from the 14th and 16th divisions, the tanks regiment , Peshmerga forces, and forces from the Counter-Terrorism Service, with the support of the Air Force and Army Aviation."
"This important operation came within the joint coordination between the federal forces and the Peshmerga forces, in accordance with security understandings, to defeat terrorism and crime in its various forms," SMC also mentioned.
