Joint Operations Command announced Wednesday the arrival of a high-ranking security delegation to Erbil.
JOC said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Chief of Staff of the Joint Operations Staff Lieutenant-General Hamid Abdul-Maqsoud is accompanied by the Commander of the Ground Forces, Lieutenant-General Qassem al-Muhammadi, and a number of military commanders arrived in Erbil."
JOC added, "The visit aims to hold a meeting with the Chief of Staff of the Peshmerga to discuss the security situation in areas of common interest and to follow up on intelligence and security information."
