PMF launchs a security operation north of Samarra

Popular Mobilization Authority announced Monday, the launch of a security operation north of Samarra.

PMF said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "a force of the Popular Mobilization in Salah al-Din Operations Command in the Popular Mobilization carried out, today, Monday, an inspection operation north of  Samarra."

The statement  added, "The operation was carried out in the presence of a force from the third Regiment of the Federal Police, a force from the Tigris Regiment in the Popular Mobilization and the Regiment's Intelligence, during which the operation targeted areas were surveyed and secured," noting that "the operation aims to secure the areas and protect civilians and security units so that they are not exploited by terrorist elements.
