Salih to Abbas: A firm position by Iraq towards the Palestinian case

President Barham Salih affirmed to his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas the firm position of Iraq, the people and the government, towards the Palestinian cause.

Salih, received a phone call from the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, during which he offered congratulations and blessings to President Salih on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha, wishing the Iraqi people to enjoy security, stability and prosperity, as Salih extended the best wishes and blessings to the Palestinian leadership and the brotherly Palestinian people, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

During the call, they discussed the solid bilateral relations that unite the two brotherly peoples and ways to strengthen them in various fields, as President Abbas expressed to President Salih his thanks and appreciation for Iraq's firm stances regarding the rights of the Palestinian people and their just case.

According to the statement, Salih affirmed Iraq's firm position by all its people and government, towards the Palestinian case, and standing by the brotherly Palestinian people in achieving their aspirations and obtaining their full legitimate rights, pointing to the need for joint and effective work to end suffering and protect the rights of the Palestinian people.
