Baghdad International Airport denied today, Thursday, the occurrence of a shooting inside it.
The airport media said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "social networking sites reported a shooting at Baghdad International Airport, and some people increased even more, mentioning the death of a person as a result of that shooting.".
"There is no such incident, as the airport is considered a demilitarized zone, and the authorities responsible for airport security prevent entry of any kind of weapons," they said.
The media statement added, "We hope that the respected media will not promote such incidents until after verifying the official sources, as these news, far from the truth, affect the name and reputation of an important front of the country."
