BOC issues a directive regarding gas stations in the capital

    Baghdad Operations Command issued Thursday a directive regarding gas stations in the capital.
     
    The command’s media office stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General, Commander of Baghdad Operations, chaired a security conference attended by the leaders of the advanced headquarters of the Baghdad Operations Command / Karkh - Rusafa, and the two deputy commanders, the Baghdad security director, a representative of the Central Oil Directorate, and a number of commanding staff officers, to set plans to curb the smuggling of oil derivatives.
     
    The Baghdad Operations Commander stressed, according to the statement, "the intensification of intelligence efforts, checking the checkpoints, following up on fuel stations inside the capital, activating joint detachments, and forming committees, in cooperation with the National Security Agency / Baghdad Security Directorate, to follow up on tanks and quantities of fuel supplied from warehouses until they enter filling stations and follow up the roads that the vehicle loaded with the product can take.”

    He stressed, "To take legal measures against violators and refer them to the judiciary to receive their just punishment and be an example to all those who harm the country's economy and create crises to harm citizens."
