Al-Shammari issues directives to the security services in Kirkuk

    BAGHDAD-INA

     Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant-General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, arrived Wednesday in Al-Bashir district in Kirkuk, while he issued directives to the security services.

    The reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "the deputy commander of the joint operations, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, arrived in the Al-Bashir district in Kirkuk, at the head of a security delegation that included the assistant chief of staff of the army for operations, Lieutenant-General Qais Al-Muhammadawi, the commander of the ground forces, Lieutenant-General Qassem Al-Muhammadi, and the commander of the Federal Police, Lieutenant-General Saleh Nasser Al-Amiri, to oversee the circumstances of the terrorist incident that targeted a number of farmers.

    Al-Shammari stressed, "the necessity of carrying out preemptive operations that thwart any terrorist act before it is carried out," calling on "the intelligence services to intensify information and not give any opportunity to the remnants of terrorism to confuse security in the province."

    Al-Shammari conveyed to "the families of the victims the condolences of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces," vowing "retribution from the terrorists who targeted the innocent and defenseless citizens."
