An International support for an agricultural project provides job opportunities in Iraq

    The Ministry of Agriculture clarified on Monday, the details of an agricultural project that provides job opportunities for the unemployed, while referring to the efforts to include the largest number of beneficiaries.
    The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Mithaq Abdul-Hussein said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The project, to fully support creating job opportunities in Iraq in order to develop the value of agricultural projects, is ongoing, and its second phase focuses on supporting small and medium projects."
     
    He explained, "These projects are supported and funded by the European Union, and they are managed by the International Organization for Migration," noting that "the aim is to support small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the service and expand its services to provide additional job opportunities, especially in the liberated and affected areas."
     
    "The supporting parties have the mechanism and clear procedures for granting loans within conditions, and the role of the ministry is to direct these grants strategically and to choose projects that serve in an additive manner," Abdul-Hussein added.
     
    He noted that "The project was launched a whole year ago, during which a thousand small and medium projects have been supported."
