The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced Thursday, the launch of a security operation in the Makhoul Mountains.
A statement by PMF, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "a joint force of the army and Brigade 51 within the Salah al-Din Operations Command in the Popular Mobilization carried out a joint security operation in the Makhoul mountain range in Salah al-Din Governorate."
The statement added, "The operation included the inspection and purification of the areas located between the Makhoul mountain range and the Tigris River, north of Salah al-Din," noting that "the leadership of the Salah al-Din operations sector for the PMF continues to work according to the plans drawn to secure the areas."
