15 suspects including a woman, arrested in Maysan

Maysan Police Directorate announced on Wednesday, arresting of 15 suspects, including a woman, in the province.

The Directorate said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "The police detachments of Maysan Anti-Crime Department in coordination with Maysan Tactical Regiment carried out a security raid which resulted in the arrest of 15 accused, including a woman, during the past 48 hours."

The statement added, "The arrests were carried out in accordance with judicial orders," noting that "the arrests were carried out in accordance with legal articles, most notably premeditated murder, terrorism, armed robbery, kidnapping, theft, possession of unlicensed firearms and other legal materials."

The statement also pointed out that the arrestees were referred to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against them."
