PMF: The borders are fortified and 12.000 of our fighters participated in Operation 'Solid Will'

    West of Anbar Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces - PMF revealed on Saturday, the participation of 12.000 fighters from the crowd in the second phase of Solid Will Operation, while stressing that the borders with neighboring countries are fortified and well maintained.

    "Operation Solid Will, in its second phase, aims to purify the targeted areas from the takfiri groups, in which 12 thousand fighters from the crowd participate with a high level of combat, security and intelligence training," said Qassim Muslih, commander of West Anbar operations for the Popular Mobilization Forces, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA. 

    He noted, "The units advanced towards the set goals, the most important of which is purifying western Anbar of cells that are trying to carry out separate attacks to establish their presence, and we carried out a strike against the enemy, in which we succeeded in killing 3 terrorists and destroying their equipment,".

    With regard to securing the borders, Muslih confirmed, "The borders are fortified and well maintained, and we have not recorded any security breaches coming from the borders in the recent period,".

    He pointed out that "the visit of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces Operations Command in Anbar constitutes moral support for the fighters and PMF,".
