A high-ranking security delegation arrives in Kirkuk to review Iron Hammer Operation

    Deputy Joint Operations and the Commander of the Federal Police Forces arrived Thursday in Kirkuk, to see and follow up on Operation Iron Hammer.

     A statement by the Command received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the deputy of the joint operations and the commander of the federal police forces arrived the advanced headquarters of joint operations in Kirkuk, for the purpose of viewing and following up the operation carried out by the special forces units of the Iraqi army in the Wadi al-Shay region."

    It added, "The visit of the Deputy of Joint Operations also came to see and follow up on the units of the Anti-Terrorism Service in Wadi Zghitoun, south of Kirkuk."

    Security Media Cell announced Wednesday the launch of Operation Iron Hammer, which is a broad and comprehensive security operation, to search Wadi al-Shay and Wadi Azgaitun in Kirkuk Governorate and the areas adjacent to the Hamrin mountain range.
