Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on the formation of a delegation for negotiations with Russia on security guarantees.
According to the decree, which was published on the Ukrainian president’s website, the Ukrainian delegation will be headed by David Arakhmia, a parliamentarian from the “Servant of the People” party loyal to Zelensky.
The delegation includes 10 members, and Arakhamia will be able to amend the composition of the delegation with the approval of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and add new members if necessary.
It is reported that, according to media reports, leaks and some statements by negotiators, during negotiations with Russia, Ukraine expressed its initial agreement to abandon the pursuit of NATO membership in exchange for security guarantees.
