AIFI topples terrorist cell in Salah al-Din

The Agency of Intelligence announced Wednesday the arrest of a terrorist cell responsible for distributing so-called guarantees and providing logistical support to ISIS members in Salah al-Din.
 
The intelligence agency said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “The Agency of Intelligence and federal investigation in the Ministry of Interior continues its security operations to follow the members of ISIS terrorist gangs, to strike their strongholds and punish them, and through receiving accurate intelligence information, it was able to arrest a terrorist cell. It is made up of four terrorists within Salah al-Din Governorate”.
 
The agency added, "During the initial investigations with the terrorists, they admitted their affiliation with ISIS, and participated in terrorist operations against the security forces and citizens, as well as providing logistical support and so-called guarantees to terrorist elements," noting that "their confessions were initially and judicially recorded, and the necessary legal measures were taken against them."
