Baghdad Municipality announces the launch of cultural activities to revive heritage monuments

    Mayor of Baghdad, Architect Alaa Maan, announced the launch of pioneering cultural events to revive the capital's heritage landmarks from Al-Mutanabbi Alley, amidst a diplomatic, foreign and Arab presence.
     
    The Municipality of Baghdad said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that " Under the auspices of Baghdad Mayor, a major theatrical performance was performed in Al-Mutanabbi Alley entitled (Kilgamesh Who Saw), directed by the artist Dr. Hussein Ali Harf, and it represents an artistic painting that reflects the legacy and history of the ancient civilization of Mesopotamia in the presence of a foreign and Arab diplomat, including  the French ambassador (Eric Chevallier), representatives of the embassies of Sudan, Algeria and Palestine, an important elite of the cultural and artistic community, and a large audience.
     
    Maan stressed that, "From Al-Mutanabbi's alley, we announce the launch of the Baghdad Renaissance project again and the management of the city through a new vision that includes creating a community culture through artistic messages and development projects that revive the forgotten city landmarks, pointing out that "the theatrical performance (Gilgamesh who saw) reflects a message that Baghdad will once again be a city of culture and a beacon of intellectual, cultural and cognitive radiation, and it is a great launch for the pioneering cultural activities to revive the landmarks of the heritage capital from Al-Mutanabbi Alley."
