President Barham Salih said Wednesday that Halabja's crime reflects the suffering of the Kurdish people and all Iraqis, adding that this crime generated determination to fight injustice, tyranny and the right to a free and dignified life.
"Halabja, the disaster reflecting the suffering of the Kurdish people and all Iraqis, is the crime that targeted everything that is alive on this valiant land," Salih said in a tweet, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
"This is a painful human moment that has generated determination to fight injustice, tyranny and the right to a free and dignified life, so that its people today have become a symbol of redemption, steadfastness, advancement and freedom," he said.
